Rehoming Application Form

  1. Looking to rehome a dog or cat from Stray Aid?

Please complete this application form and we’ll try to match you with a pet who is looking for their forever home.

  2. Please be aware, due to the large number of applications we receive to rehome dogs and cats we are sometimes unable to response to unsuccessful applicants.

  3. If you have previously completed a Rehoming Application Form, we ask that you wait at least two weeks before submitting this form again.

  4. By completing this form, you agree to be contacted by email, phone, or post regarding your application and other ways you can support Stray Aid.

  5. We first need to know about you and where you live.

By completing this form, you will be considered the person responsible for the care of any pet rehomed from Stray Aid as a result of this application. If we think you’ll be a good match for one of our dogs or cats, you will be invited to attend our Coxhoe Rescue and Rehoming Centre for an in-person introduction and you may be asked to consent to a home visit by one of our team members.

  6. Please ensure you have ticked the above check box if you’d like to be sent an email confirming we have received your rehoming application and outlining more about the rehoming process and what happens next. This is the best way to stay up to date.

  7. We now need to know about who lives in your house.

Every pet has their own temperament and needs. Although we cannot guarantee the temperament of any dog or cat rehomed from Stray Aid, we always try to find the best forever home for every animal in our care.

  8. We now need to know about the type of pet you are looking for.

If there is a specific dog or cat available for rehoming you have seen on our website or at a Stray Aid event, make sure to tell us their name and where you have seen them. Based on your answers and circumstances we may suggest you meet another dog or cat.

Please note: we cannot guarantee the temperament, behaviour, or house training of any dog or cat rehomed from Stray Aid. All animals take time to adjust to new environments and may require positive reinforcement training to help them settle in.

  9. Finally, we’d like to know about your experiences with Stray Aid.

This will help us continue to improve how we engage with our supporters, like you. The information you provide in this section may not be considered as part of your rehoming application. If you would prefer not to answer these questions, please scroll to the ‘Submit Application‘ button at the bottom of this page.
